The Minotaur Enters
For me the Minotaur is metaphorically underneath everything - see my post on the 'Floor' ...
But Laurel you have been speculating it could also (literally??) / metaphorically enter the 'space' through the door ...
I was imagining the minotaur at the south portico or porch that is pictured below. Beyond the porch is the south lawn, ideal grazing land. I haven't yet found if the opening in the south wall was original or part of the restoration. Across the room, directly opposite this space is the Dionysus and Ariadne fresco, and as pointed out in the North Wall posting there are many links to the minotaur here as well. There are so many interpretations!
